A registered office service is an advantageous option in several respects — below we present the latest benefit!
It has already been worthwhile to use a registered office service, but the Solar Energy Plus Program grant has now been announced, and for many people, accessing it will be impossible without one.
To be precise, the grant call lists as an exclusion criterion:
- those privately owned properties are not eligible to submit a funding application if the owner has overdue tax or public debt collectible in the manner of taxes exceeding 60 days, except if the tax authority has granted a payment deferral or installment payment, or if they have a debt under the title of traditional own resources of the European Union;
- if the residential property is the registered office, place of business, or branch office of an enterprise (sole proprietorship, sole trader company, general partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, public limited company, etc.);
What grant are we talking about?

The above-mentioned grant is the Solar Energy Plus Program, which has a budget of 75.8 billion forints and applies to the installation of new residential solar panels and energy storage systems. It provides a non-refundable grant of up to 5 million forints, but no more than 66% of the investment.
This grant offers an excellent opportunity for those who wish to install solar panels and energy storage in 2024 under the so-called ‘gross settlement system’ to meet a larger portion of their electricity consumption from their own production.
The Solar Energy Plus Program conditions in a nutshell
The first stipulation of the grant is that it applies exclusively to the joint installation of solar panels and energy storage; solar panel installation is possible with a 4-5 kW inverter and a 7.5-10 kWh capacity storage unit, and furthermore, the power of the solar panels may be a maximum of 120% of the inverter’s power.
The application must include the construction contract concluded with the contractor and the budget plan, and the evaluation takes a maximum of 15 working days, though of course supplementary submissions may also be required.
A minimum of 34% of the project budget must be covered from own resources, and during its implementation two financial versions can be used:
- the applicant pays 34% of the contractor’s contract price, and the remaining 66% is subsequently received by the contractor from the state, or
- the contractor receives the grant advance from the state, and the applicant pays the own contribution from the interim and final settlement amounts.

Naturally, beyond these there are other important conditions and exclusion factors that must be taken into account; these are as follows:
The applicant must be of legal age, must have a Hungarian tax identification number, and must be a private individual, as well as being at least a part-owner of the property where the investment is being implemented. Also, their permanent address must be at the property in question, and it must be a family house used for residential purposes.
It is important that no funding application may be submitted by anyone who has overdue tax or public debt exceeding 60 days — except if the National Tax and Customs Administration has granted them a payment deferral or installment payment.
The rules and exceptions listed above should of course be treated as an extract, since the grant call is 40 pages long. For those who are sole proprietors or members of a business partnership and would like to participate in this particularly advantageous grant with their property, but the exclusion factor mentioned at the beginning of the article would prevent them from doing so, we offer a solution.
If your sole proprietorship or company’s registered office is your own residential property and you would like to modernize it according to the grant, use the registered office service option, so you may be eligible for the non-refundable grant of up to 5 million forints!
